What a day and some crazy games were played. 4 players are 100% sure to make it out as a top 8, 2 players are very, very close and 3 players are going to take on their best plays of the year so far (Though the year is only 10 days old).

What happened?

Viper – ACCM: 3-1

TaToH – Hera: 2-3

JorDan – FreakinAndy: 3-0

Yo – Liereyy: 3-1

DauT – Hearttt: 3-1

The takeon from this round must be, that Hearttt is very, very close to leave the tournament, where only maths are holding him alive. Whats interesting though is, that Hearttt have lost 4/4 games, but have not been 3-0 by anyone so far. This is not the case forYo, FreakinAndy, Liereyy or JorDan, who was the center of the shortest Bo5 ever against Hera. Hearttt can stand a fight and plays well. It is good to see him at a psysical lan-event, and he is only improving. Hang in there!

Is TheViper losing it?

It is always fun to watch TheViper play. One (if not the most) of the most diverse players we have. He can play in any terrain, but often seems to lose bit of hes charm in the beginning of a tourney. Som of his actions against ACCM can be taken as a bad day, but some will definetly rise the question: “Is he done”?. The history tells us a different story, because TheViper have always had these kind of games, where diferent mistakes are made. Let’s see if he will rise again. He got a win, and can relax a bit. He is playing Hera in the final stage in a kind of “Pre-finale” between the two of them.

Predections

Hera – TheViper: 3-2
It’s always close between the two best players of AoE, Hera and TheViper, but Hera tends to draw longest straw, and he will be likely to do it again tonight (wed. 10th/jan-2024).
One thing to look for is the first match. The winner of that will most likely win the Bo5.

Hearttt: Goodbye for this time
Hearttt is most likely to end up finish in this tourney. It has sure been a pleasure, and we hope to see him back on this stage again very soon. Maybe the upcoming Hidden Cup V, could be a good way of getting back on the big scene!

DauT will beat ACCM
Our last predection is that DauT will win against ACCM and move on the Quarterfinals. ACCM is playing good, but DauT has a thing about 8th places, so this is likely to happen again.
